Trailwood Hills - April 7, 2009 Meeting Notes

We had a nice turn out for our annual homeowners meeting - thank you to all who attended and contributed to the discussions! Following are the topics that were discussed:

Accomplishments:

Fining procedures for glass, dogs, and other violations at pool. It was generally decided that there would be a warning letter, then $100 for glass, $100 for dog, undecided amount for other violations, and after three violations, you lose your key for the remainder of the pool season.

It was a great suggestion that we install a sign at the pool listing the telephone number for Charleston Management for reporting violations at the pool - it would list the number and ask the person to state the date and time of their call, and to describe the violators and violation as clearly as possible.

We will be forming a Common Area Beautification Committee in order to beautify all three entrances to neighborhood and the pool entrance.

We will be asking the City of Raleigh to assess the parking on Alder Ridge and Trailwood Drive with respect to having parking restricted to one side of these streets.

There was a discussion regarding the possible need to increase dues to cover costs associated with beautifying the entrances to our neighborhood. This will be based on the costs submitted by the Committee mentioned above when presented.

There was a discussion regarding the uniformity of mailboxes in the neighborhood to make it look neater. This will be discussed at the next Board meeting.

We will be installing a key card system at the pool in the next few weeks. The key will be tied to your address, which will enable us to identify persons who violate the pool rules and regulations. The cost of the keys will be $10 for the first key and $25 for a second or replacement key. If you lose a key, that key will be deactivated. A letter will be going out regarding the process for obtaining a key and the fining / violation process being put in place with respect to the pool.

Jason Hibbets of the Lineberry Alliance talked briefly about working with Councilman Crowder and Lt. Perry with respect to having the police enforce our parking restrictions and noise violations, and to always write tickets and citations when called to the neighborhood. He also discussed our neighborhoods (all the neighborhoods off Lineberry) requesting a grant from the City to have a sign placed along Lineberry announcing the entrance to our neighborhoods.
