Trailwood Hills - April 3, 2008 Meeting Notes
Thanks to everyone who attended the Annual Homeowners meeting on April 3, 2008. We had the best turn out we have ever had, and we truly do appreciate people taking the time (and braving the weather) to come to that meeting. We also appreciate all of the ideas and suggestions presented regarding some of our neighborhood's issues. Just wanted to give everyone a brief update on a couple of items to keep you "in the know" as to the status of some of the items discussed.
- Due to concerns for safety, we contacted the City Parking Coordinator and requested no parking signs at the intersection of Alder Ridge and Lineberry within 25 feet of that intersection on Alder Ridge. A work order has been placed.
- We also requested a "stop bar" at the intersection of Alder Ridge and Lineberry to better mark the intersection. This request has been sent to the appropriate department for installation.
- We asked about enforcing the "no parking within 5 feet of a driveway" ordinance in order to keep people's mailboxes from being blocked by cars parked on the streets. City Parking is going to contact the Raleigh Police Department to request their help in enforcing this ordinance.
- We inquired as to the process for changing the parking in our neighborhood to permit parking. We received a letter outlining the requirements in order to quality for permit parking, and at first glance, it appears that our neighborhood does not qualify (which was the conclusion we came to last year). However, the Board will discuss this further at the May Board meeting.
